The Xbox Series X console is the most recent addition to the Xbox series, and it was designed to guide in a new era of gaming. The last major generational upgrade was over six years ago with the Xbox One, and this new console boasts of new games and features we’ve only seen from high-end PC games. Despite the console’s appearance, which some may call bulky, this next-gem Xbox is fast, easy to use, and offers a PC upgrade experience in console form. Here, we will look at some of the features, pros, and cons of the Xbox Series X console. Let’s get right to it.
Features
The Xbox Series X offers various features that improve the quality of life and gaming experience of players.
• Quick Resume
With the Quick Resume feature, you can jump back into the game from where you left off instantly as if you never took a break from playing. With this functionality, you don’t have to sit through loading times, and you can jump between different games that you left in a suspended state. Multiple gamers found that they could jump seamlessly between gameplay, as long as said games have been booted up beforehand. Quick Resume only works for games that have been loaded at some point and paused in a suspended state.
• Smart Delivery
This feature allows players to access any version of an Xbox game, regardless of the console they are playing on. With the Xbox Smart Delivery feature, you can play a game on the Xbox Series X with all its optimizations and continue playing said game on your Xbox One S with no hassle. Microsoft also offers users the Save data feature between different consoles to enable them to jump seamlessly between consoles.
• Backward Compatibility
This feature enables players to play any Xbox game as it supports older games as well. There are over 1000 backward-compatible titles, and they all loaded faster and played better on the Xbox Series X. Players can also connect their original Xbox Wireless Controller or Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 to this new console seamlessly. Plus, you can connect any official licensed Xbox One accessory to the Xbox Series X.
• Blu-ray drive inclusion
The Xbox Series X provides an array of multimedia features – one is its in-built 4k Blu-ray player. You can use your console to access multiple streaming services like Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime Video, etc. Also, the Xbox Series X console is the only console that supports Dolby Vision.
